Why choose MIP?

Because it works and once completed, the benefits remain for life, with no chance of regression. I believe it is more effective in getting to the root of neuro-developmental delay and its associated learning difficulties than any other treatment. There are two main differences between MIP and other programmes designed to help developmental delay:

untitled-10.jpg1. We recognise the retention of foetal reflexes, which I believe are significant in hindering childhood development. Other programmes focus on primitive reflexes and cerebellum function. mip-4.jpg

2. Other programmes consider the root cause to be delayed development of the cerebellum, the brain’s motor skills centre, which is in charge of the postural (adult) reflexes. But that overlooks the real root of the matter. The reason for cerebellar developmental delay is the persistence of early reflexes. There are several programmes around, some of them very expensive, that require clients to recapitulate various babyhood movements such as crawling, in order to create the neural connections that will improve cerebellum function. However, such treatments don’t eliminate the reflexes, which means that neural patterning may subsequently return to its immature pre-treatment state. Neuro-physiological development begins during pregnancy in the womb and in my opinion, it is therefore absolutely crucial to be able to access the earliest stages of the developmental process to ensure a successful outcome. MIP is the only programme that eliminates foetal reflexes as well as primitive and infant reflexes, so that there is no chance of regression when treatment has ended.
